Teaching and pedagogical Innovations

  • Teaching research by getting individual students in classes of up to 25 students to complete end-to-end projects in a single semester
  • Teaching communication theory and media literacy by getting students to document, analysze and present media consumption habits of their entire Households. This surfaces in a very organic way the domination, albeit via different platforms, of media in many demographics.
  • Employing role-play and feedback loops in teaching assertiveness and persuasive speech.

  • MTV Nishedh on Sexual and Reproductive Health (2020); awarded by BMGF.
  • Curriculum Development on Development Communication for UNICEF, India (2020). Awarded by UNICEF.

AS Senior Program Officer at Population Council India,

  • Led an evaluation grant in Bihar (funded by BMGF) to promote maternal, newborn, child health and sanitation (MNCHS). Awarded by BMGF. Behaviors for women belonging to most marginalized groups (SC/ST and backward Muslim women)
  • Led an evaluation grant in Bihar (funded by IFC- World Bank & BMGF) to assess success of Health Operations Payment Engine (HOPE) to make government payments directly to FLWs and beneficiaries more efficient, transparent, and timely. Awarded by International Monetary Fund.
