I was part of Part Time MBA programme in Social Entrepreneurship in the 2008-2011 batch. When I enrolled in the course I was beginning my career in the social sector. The course gave in-depth knowledge of establishing, functioning, and managing of an NGO. It gave a detailed overviewof how to run a social enterprise and be impactful.
Due to the learnings and encouragement from my professors, I co-founded my social enterprise post completion of my MBA, and today it is a registered charitableorganization functioning for the betterment of the disadvantaged community of women acrossthe country.
My work has been recognized on several national and international platforms, most notable amongst that I am being recognized by world CSR Day and world sustainability amongst '51 most impactful social innovator, globally.
The course has built my professional capabilities of starting and managing my NGO. Right from how to register to how to write proposals, it has given me knowledge and skills. On the personal front, it boosted my oral and written communication skills, working with groups, and inculcating discipline of completing projects on time. I recommend each individual no matter what stage of career they are in, working in the social sector, to enrol for this course for their development.
