In a world that is increasingly interdependent, it becomes imperative for the School of Business Management to uphold the agenda of internationalization; for this purpose, it seeks to create a global environment in its programmes, as well as on its campus. In tune with the swiftly evolving global scenario, the SBM has linkages with a number of globally renowned foreign universities such as the the Grenoble Ecole de Management, France, ESSCA, France, Hungary and Shanghai, Kedge Business School (Previously known as EUROMED) Marseille, France; HHL Leipzig School of Management, Germany, University of South Florida, USA, Rotterdam Business School, Netherlands and Macquarie University, Australia, HEC, Lausanne to name a few. It also has a partnership with the Harvard Business School for a Faculty Development Programme and has nominated faculties to participate in the HBS Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning Programme at the Harvard University, Boston, USA. Besides, the India Site License Agreement signed with Harvard Business School Publishing ensures electronic access to HBSP materials. To match the speed of internationalization of institutes the world over, it is necessary to promote cross fertilization of cultures. The SBM has always been open to diverse influences; now, in tune with global trends, it has stepped up its efforts to internationalize its academic environment. Over and above its existing partnerships, it has adopted a planned approach of collaborating with reputed foreign universities for joint research as well as for student and faculty exchange programmes. The SBM has been dialoguing actively with short-listed institutes of every country to invite international faculty from reputed overseas institutes. Further, plans are afoot to secure scholarships for students, and facilitate student, faculty and cultural exchange programmes. Further, to enable students to understand the nuances of business and become successful entrepreneurs in days to come the SBM has been providing opportunities to the students to go on an international internship and collaboration program for a period of two weeks in Europe conducted by GreenContributor- a Canadian based organization. Titled "Becoming an entrepreneur- How Startups are Built: Case study on Demola- Tampere Finland and Budapest Hungary”, in the year 2015, the program provided the students with great opportunity to work in a team along with teams of other students and officials from the industry from other parts of the World and to apply the tools of design thinking–customer observation, brainstorming, and prototyping–to develop new products and services for companies ranging from local SMEs to international large-scale enterprises.
