The rise of private funding and participation has further enhanced infrastructure development.
The industry demands professionals with specialized expertise across multiple roles. His area of research includes strategic financial management, infrastructure financing, and project finance. He has published extensively on infrastructure financing, economic modelling and capital markets. He has been a consultant to the ADB and other international firms. He served on many government committees to enhance the flow of private capital into the infrastructure sector.
He holds B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the BITS, Pilani, M.Sc. (Economics) from the London School of Economics and Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool.

Rajendra M. Ganatra is a highly experienced professional specializing in financial restructuring and insolvency. As a registered insolvency professional, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his field. Dr. Ganatra previously held the position of managing director and CEO at India SME Asset Reconstruction Co. Limited, where he played a crucial role in managing distressed assets and facilitating corporate recoveries.
He has vast experience in business and project development and is proven to efficiently structure project and corporate finance deals. Dr. Ganatra is also adept at catalyzing deals and ensuring successful outcomes for all stakeholders. Additionally, he shares his expertise as a visiting faculty member, teaching project finance and managerial accounting.
